The past few years have been so hard. Due to my parents health issues I chose to move my son and myself in with my parents.

We moved from a 2 bedroom 3 bathroom victorian in to a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom 900 sq. ft apartment. Due to the stairs my parents cannot get up and down it was best. I have been working and taking care of them from even before moving in with them.

After 2 years living in this situation and struggling I chose to return to the military. This is something I always wanted to do. Though other family members are nearby, none were wanting to assist in helping with my son or my parents.

Somehow, though, I did leave for the military and have been gone for this year. I have just returned and also have been accepted to LSU in Baton Rouge. As this puts me in a status that I will not be deployed and I can finish my degree, I am excited. 

I want to serve overseas, however, I need to care for my 16 year old son until he graduates from high school. I knew that serving my country at age 37 was going to be hard. However, I am up for the challenge. In order to get to Louisiana however, I need to raise the money. 

I have used all of my funds to take care of family and I plan to continue to help, but I do need to position myself to make more money to do so and in order to do so, I need to finish my education. At this time I need to raise moving fees and set up fees for the first month. 

My move is quickly approaching.  January 5th, 2010. I look forward to serving my country for as long as I can.  I will be more than appreciative of any and all donations to help reach my next goal.

That of being a better Military member and to serve with honor and to do my duty knowing that I had the help of those that I am helping to protect.
