My name is Brendan and
I am 41 years old. |
 |
September 2009 my life
had a sudden turn for the worst. My family- Tina and
two sons Tori then 13 and Jarrad 10 went to Sydney,
Australia to visit friends. Were there 24hours and
while out shopping I suddenly lost my sight.

 |
Tina and her friend
called an ambulance as they had no idea what was next -
stoke, seizure? It was 1.30pm and they were now being
told that I had a Brain Tumor that is aggressive grade 4
glioblastoma multiforme and that he was terminal with
possible days to live if they did not operate. 8.30pm I
went in to have a 9cm mass removed. Survived that then
was told that I would need to have chemo and radiation
and that would extend my life to a year as there is no
cure and survival past that point was almost unheard
of. |
 |
Today it is 27 January
2011 I have 40% eyesight back. I consider myself to be
well and fit. October 2009 I was so weak bed ridden and
blind Tina asked me if I wanted to spend my last year
like this or tell them no more chemo and radiation and
that she would find something else. At this stage we
are both not working as Tina was looking after me so
were living on savings. Tina found an awesome
researcher Dr in Dunedin and have been on her natural
products imported from America since. |
 |
Costing $2,500 a month we
now have lost our 2 mortgage free homes to pay for my
tablets and living costs over the last 2 years. I have
yearly scans and they are coming back clear of
regrowth. Yahoo
They are saying that it is very unusual to survive this
long from the type of tumor that I have. |
 |
I am not giving up as I
have so much to do and growing up with Tina and my boys
means so much to me. The only thing holding me back is
money or lack of it. So if you could help even in a
small way it would be greatly appreciated. As I have a
lot of living in me yet.
