Let me began by just
saying thank you for taking the time to read this. and
to let you know how difficult it is to ask for help. I
am strong native American man. And always beloved in
working and taking care of yourself and your family. And
have always been the type of person to give and help
others and expect nothing in return. That is how I was
raised.
|
 |
My family consist of 5 girls and 1 boy and 9
grand children so as you can guess I stay pretty busy
with them. and the youngest daughter still lives with
dad. Ill fast forward from here. I was injured at work
in 2004 and put on disability. |
 |
Then in 2008 my older
brothers wife passed on and I took over taking care of
him. Please let me explain he was hit by a car in 2000
and has a brain injury. he has caregivers that helps out
allot. I give him his meds and dinner and make sure his
shopping is done. Then in 2009 cancer raised its ugly
head and made my life really difficult, No health
insurance. I have the tribal clinic and believe me I am
thankful for that. |
 |
My cancer was in stage 2 and I needed
surgery. After the surgery and in recovery I received
the bill and it was shocking 43300 the tribe paid a
portion of the bill about 18000, and the balance is my
responsibility and have no idea how to take care of this
huge debt. |
 |
I do the best I can but it seems imp going
backwards. My disability check just keeps mine and my
daughters head above water and the normal bills paid,
and almost no extras. My youngest has been the greatest
she's helped me through the tough times of recovery as
my other children have. They are my heroes' sent letters
to the state asking for help but was denied even sent a
hardship letter to the hospital and they reduced the
bill 5000 dollars to 203000.Now comes the real hard part
for me, |
 |
I cant keep up with the hospital bills. and now
the letters and phone calls never stop. |
 |
If you could
help a struggling dad ill never forget and when imp able
ill pay it forward once again thanks for taking the time
to read this
