Parents of a bipolar 15 year old looking for help

I am a stay at home mother of a 15 year old who was
diagnosed with bipolar at the age of 7. If you are
familiar with this disorder you know that it is a
lifelong disease and is a terribly disease when it is
untreated. We were very lucky the first 8 years with
medical treatment, medication, and therapy. We were
fine and everything was going smooth when tragedy hit
our loving smooth running household when my husband
injured his back last year and had to undergo major
back surgery which caused us to slowly go down hill.
After injuring his back he found out that he no longer
could work being an electron doing the work he loved
doing. Which resulted in his company terminating his
position and taking our health insurance away from us.
No insurance, no work, no income, no medication for
our son. That was a big unexpected blow to our small
but big hearted family. Now we are looking for help
from you! We need help from you to help pay for our
sons medication, doctor appointments, and
help to get my husband back to school training
in a new field of work - to help us get back on track.

Bipolar disorder - Also known as manic depression, an
illness that can cause extreme shifts in thoughts,
energy, mood, and behavior; a person's mood may swing
between "highs" (mania) and "lows"
(depression); in between mood swings, a person may
have few or no symptoms.

Bipolar disorder is a lifelong medical condition. It
isn't a character flaw or a sign of weakness. Like
people with other medical conditions such as diabetes,
high blood pressure and high cholesterol, who take
medication long-term, people with bipolar disorder
should take medication long-term to stabilize their
moods and keep the illness from getting worse.
