Could you spare $1 just to help us over this hump.

We live in Connecticut and our heat has been off since April/09. We are also behind 4 months in mortgage payments. It started a few years back and it has been just one bad situation after the other. We haven't had credit cards for years, so that isn't a problem. It is just the basic everyday bills.

In 2003, I lost my 7 year job to downsizing. Since I was hitting my 50s and it was harder to start all over and hope the next company didn't down size in a few years, I had started looking for a business to invest in a couple of years before that, since I saw the lay off coming.

I found a 10 year old company with a perfect rep and after my lay off, invested in that company. It worked out perfectly at the time, for about a year and a half. Money started coming in the week after my unemployment
ended.

This also worked out perfectly, since it would give me the option of staying home to put full attention on my mother,
who at that time was staying with me for a few years already because she couldn't take care of herself anymore. She progressively needed more and more help.

Then after that year and a half the company I invested in fell off the face of the earth in one day. No phones, no internet, nothing of this company was anywhere to be found. To find out they scam the
investors for billions of dollars. The SEC and the FBI got involved and it is still going through the court system today. We lost
a total of $60,000. This was the start of where we are today. I had to stay with my mother 24/7, so I would try to get work at
home, nothing that makes enough to support anything. We live in CT. Our heating (Gas) was shut off in April/09 and we would need $3200 just to get it back on. We have mortgage payments due of $2000 a month. We are now 4 payments behind and are facing foreclosure. My mother now 88 just fell and went to the hospital having pnemonia and a broken ankle, so she needs to stay in rehab for months.

They are taking her income which was a good part of the payments every month. We still owe the rehab money from 2007 when she was in there previously ($10,000) which I couldn't pay them back then because of the living expenses.

We haven't celebrated any holidays for the last 3 to 4 years, so that we're use to. We are just asking to get over this hump that we are having right now with the mortgage and the heat and to get our bills on track. If you could donate a dollar to help us along it would be greatly appreciated.
