I have suffered with depression for over 15 years, triggered by the death of my mother following a long battle with cancer, I have build up debt mainly from the interest on loans, credit cards and other household bills.  I have attempted suicide in the past because things are so bad, things just don't seem to get better, I was recently out of work for about 3 years following the birth of my third daughter and the depression overwhelmed me again.

The Debts are snowballing and we are constantly struggling to pay bills, sometimes don't have enough to buy the basics.  We pay some bills this month and others the next, we have no chance of getting out of the spiral of debt.  The debts are getting bigger and bigger every month what ever we pay off makes no difference to the increasing balance.

I am not worried about me; it’s my children, with worn clothes, clothes which are too small as they have grown out of them, holes in their shoes. It’s just not fair on them.  I know if my debts are cleared I can give them a life they deserve as I now have a good job, but at the moment all our money is going to the debts so the bailiffs don’t come round.

We live in a house which needs new windows, new floors, is damp and in need of many repairs, including re-wiring as the electrics are not particularly safe, which we know we will never be able to afford to get repaired, its worth less than when we bought it, we have tried to sell but no one is interested as it needs so much work.

We cannot get any loans to reduce out outgoings we have such a bad credit score. Please find it in your heart to help us get out of this debt so our children can enjoy what little childhood they have left – they are Ten, Five and Two years old.  We want them to be able to go to the pictures, go swimming, go dancing all those normal things that their friends do, just going to Brownies is out of the question – we cannot afford £1.00 a week for them to go.
