My fiancé and I would
first like to thank you for taking the time to read my
story. We are in desperate need of help in paying off my
debt collectors.

In late 2003 my job
position was eliminated and I was unemployed for 1 ½
years.
|
|
During this time, I went
for education to become certified in my field believing
that with the certification and experience I could
become employed; however, it was a lot harder to even
get an interview unless you knew someone. I did all I
could to earn money by working temporary job assignments
while supporting 2 teenagers and my father who were
living with us.

We had to live off of my
401k with the 2-day job assignments up to a 1-week
assignment or more. I even tried opening my own
business, but that required money to invest that I did
not have.
|
|
In 2006 I was able to
find myself a permanent position. However, at this
time, our mortgage kept going up, my student loan has
increased and a lot of my credit card bills went to
collectors. We have kept up with the mortgage and
student loan as well as one of the collector’s payments
as best we could as we utilized our savings and 401k to
make payments.

|
We have since taken in my
fiancé’s mom when she was ill and could no longer live
on her own and then shortly after took my mom in while
she was ill and could no longer live on her own as well.
|
|
We tried to obtain a loan
to consolidate our debt and payoff our creditors with no
success. Due to our credit rating going down due to the
late payments we started to incur due to circumstances
listed above, we have not been able to find a loan so we
can get back on track. We just keep receiving denials.
It is so humiliating and stressful receiving all of
these calls and letters from debt collectors.

We are so aware that
there are so many people in trouble today due to the
economy. It is our hope that we can be eventually have
funding become available for us to all have the ability
to survive this.

We want to be back on
track again and pay it forward to other family’s lives
and make a difference. |
