Hi, I'm Mags, I'm 30
years old, Irish, single and living on a really tight
budget.

I'm asking for donations
to cheer me up! There's nothing better when you're poor
than to check your email to find a you've got money
message from paypal.

2009 was a horrible year
for me, I broke up with my boyfriend, failed my law
exams, failed my driving test (need money to repeat both
of those in 2010). My hours at work were reduced due
to the recession and I have debts and loans which I am
repaying so I have very little to live on and it's
making me depressed. I literally don't leave the house
much because I just don't have money to do anything.

I stay home and watch
television and use the internet. Even McDonalds and the
cinema are too expensive for me. Every day I see
excellent offers which I can't avail of because there is
just no money. My local gym has a special offer of
membership for 204, that's only 17 a month but I can't
afford it.

I don't have a target
amount for donations, I will be so thankful for anything
I receive but here's what would fix everything: Or how I
would spend the first 18, 930 if I won the Lottery
tomorrow!

Personal Debts 6,800
(mostly from education expenses)
Home improvement loan 5000 (was used to replace the
windows in my house)
Car loan 5000
Driving test 260 (includes cost of 4 pre-test lessons)
Exam fees 670
Gym membership 200
A holiday 1000 (not a priority just now with my
dreadful financial situation but something I'd really,
really love, I can dream!)

In the past when I needed
money for exam fees, driving lessons, dental bills, gym
fees, I would have borrowed. When the bank allowed me
to consolidate my debt a few months ago they added a
condition that I cannot borrow for 2 years so now I have
no credit available to me for anything just now.

|
After minimum payments on
loans I have 160 a week which I use to pay for heating,
electricity, phone, internet, car tax, car insurance,
petrol, food, contact lenses and anything else I need.
Every payday the money is gone almost as soon as it
arrives in my account. I have no savings.
|
|
There's no life
threatening illness, I'm not homeless but I am genuine.
I hope people reading this can identify with my
situation where life is on hold because of debt and
shortage of money.
