My name is Willie, I am a 15 year old disabled shetland who was rescued in 1999 and went to live at my current address.

Last year I developed laminitis which is a painful hoof disease. The vet said I would require remedial shoes and vet care for the rest of my life. My owner paid $1200 for vet bills and shoes however it has flared up again and I am in a lot of pain.

I have 7 brothers and 1 sister that live with me. My owner is middle-aged and is a good person who has always put her horses first. She has an unfinished house with no doors, windows or plumbing because she has spent all her money feeding us and others peoples horses when they needed help.

She is currently unemployed and is struggling to feed us as she has already put $4000 of feed on her credit card.

She helps out a charity on the weekends which gives out clothes to homeless people. I am hoping that you could find it in your heart to donate a small amount on money to help feed me and my brothers and sister and I would be able to get special shoes so that I can get around.

A note from the owner : Willie is a special horse and I want to give him the best I can for whatever time he has left. If you choose to donate to my horses I will never forget the gratitude shown to us.
