SEVEN YEARS AGO MY DAUGHTER, HOLLY, WHO WAS 16 AT THE
TIME, WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERE ENDOMETRIOSIS.
UNLIKE MOST CASES OF THIS DISEASE, HERS WAS UNIQUE IN
THAT IT WAS INSIDE AS WELL AS OUTSIDE OF HER ORGANS.
SINCE THIS TIME, SHE HAS UNDERGONE 16 SURGERIES AND
SPENT OVER 367 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL. TO COMPLICATE HER
MEDICAL CONDITION EVEN MORE, SHE HAS A KIDNEY WHICH IS
DESCRIBED AS A "STONE MAKER". SHE SUFFERS
FROM KIDNEY STONES ON AN AVERAGE OF TWO-THREE TIMES

AS SPINA BIFIDA OF HER SPINE. SHE IS NOW
23 YEARS OLD AND WITH MONTHLY TREATMENTS, SHE IS DOING
SOME BETTER FROM A MEDICAL STANDPOINT. HOWEVER,
SHE HAS DEVELOPED SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS FROM ALL OF
THE PAIN MEDICATIONS OVER THE PAST YEARS. |
| SHE NEEDS TO GO TO A
SPECIALIZED YEAR-LONG TREATMENT FACILITY IN ARIZONA
FOR TREATMENT OF BOTH HER SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND
EMOTIONAL HEALTH PROBLEMS. THE COST OF THIS
TREATMENT IS $6500.00 PER MONTH PLUS EXPENSES.
WITH THE MEDICAL DEBT THAT WE ALREADY HAVE, THERE IS
NO WAY THAT WE CAN AFFORD TO SEND HER FOR THIS
SPECIALIZED TREATMENT. |
