This one word best describes my situation. 

I have always prided myself on being self sufficient and not having to rely on anyone else.  I am single and have no one, all my family is dead.  I raised two children myself (one of whom died at 21 in a tragic accident).  The other is in college far from home.  How I wish I could help her financially. 

I know she needs my help, but I am in no position to do that because of the mess I am in.  I am self employed and have been since 1995.  I have never been even remotely rich, no fancy 401(k) or retirement plan, no luxury car or flat screen TV.  But, I have always been able to pay my bills. 

That is until last year when I had to rely on credit cards to get by, even for the basics, but somehow I managed.  That is until September when I got very sick and was hospitalized.  I was off work for two months.  If I don't work there is no money coming in at all, so I got behind on my bills. 

Added to the misery are horrendous medical bills.  Yes, you're wondering, I do have health insurance (at least for this month, next month who knows?), but I have a $10,000 deductible (Yes $10,000 deductible) - plus my health insurance for which I pay a hefty premium has left me holding the bag on more medical expenses than my deductible. 

I have no resources to draw upon and I have used up what little I had in savings.  I have tried to get loans, but now that my credit is trashed, I have been repeatedly turned down. 

I pray every day for God's help.  He has always guided me through painful times, especially after the death of my beloved son and my world fell apart.  He helped me get up every day and put one foot in front of the other to climb out of the deep hole of depression that I found myself in and gave me hope and a sense of peace for my soul. 

Now I need God and your help to make it through this darkness.  It is extremely difficult for me to ask you for help.  But please find it in your heart to make a donation to me.
