My family has been
through a lot in the past year. I am a newly
married young person. My husband and I got
married in 2005 and bought our first house...the
American dream right...WRONG! We got a letter
from our mortgage company saying that we did not send
2 consecutive checks. I contacted them and got
the run around. We offered to resubmit the
checks, but they refused payment. We were forced
into foreclosure, but were reasurred that this is just
"standard procedure". They told us for
6 months that everything is ok and that if we send
them $5000.00 (lawyer fees) that we could keep our
house. Meanwhile, I was 6 months pregnant with our
little bundle of joy. I did not feel comfortable
sending a large amount of cash without anything in
writing to back us up as this company is very sneaky.
We were told everything is fine up until the week
before our scheduled sheriff's sale. |

I was 8 months pregnant
and exausted looking for an apartment with our newly
established "BAD CREDIT" (due to the
unneccesary foreclosure). In the meantime, my
husband's hours at work were cut off...making married
life a little more stressful. Fortunatley, we
found an apartment that suited us, and I had our baby
1 month early...I believe it was due to stress...at
our new second floor location. The purpose that
we need money now, is because we were not able to
refinance our other loans and finances (due to the
foreclosure). We talked to a lawyer and she said
Bankrupcy is the only option at this point. |

I am determined to go a
different route though. Please feel free to send
donations for our living expenses...such as diapers,
rent, food, also, my husband is going back to school
and will need to pay for books and tuition. Your
kindness is appreciated. Feel free to email
advice as you may have been in this situation when you
were young and just starting out.
