FOR MY WIFE’S CARE!
 |
I am a 67 year old male
victim of “Downsizing”! I am now a
statistic. December 21st of ’06 I was given
anniversary congratulations for 25 years of service,
and told how valuable I am to the company. January
15th, ‘07, I went from valuable to worthless, and
they didn’t need our department any more. That’s
another story and there is no sense rehashing the
motive.

I was forced into
retirement. Area employment – forget it? H1b’s and
outsourcing are eating up jobs that aren’t sent
overseas, and I am just making it financially.
When my severance pay ended, so did my insurance and
benefits. I am Diabetic and as such have heart
issues that prevent me from getting insurance when
coupled with my age. (I had an abdominal aorta
aneurism, in 2001 that sealed my fate for insurance.) |
 |
Honestly, I am better
off than many in this country, who can’t buy
groceries. For that I am thankful, but with the loss
of my job, I lost about $130K in a fund for my
wife’s healthcare. That was a blow, as she is a
cancer survivor. She’s 12 years younger than I and
will hopefully out live me, if she remains cancer free
and the bills don’t increase again, this time
without insurance. As if that weren’t bad enough, if
she were forced to go on Medicaid or SSI, the state
takes all assets over $2000 to support her. With the
economy and conditions in this country going down the
tubes for the middle class, she will certainly need
cash for care above what we have now to get by in
forced retirement. |
 |
I never thought I would
be asking for help, but here I am doing just that.
It has been an adjustment for me, but I have no
choice. I need about $500 a month over about the
next two and a half years to build “an investment
fund that will produce growth and income” for my
wife’s care. That was supposedly secured. For my
wife, I must make it up, and part time employment will
not do it. I have no other options! |
 |
I have a need to give
something in return for your help and generosity, so
after I reach my goal, I will continue here with a
revised page, to help others on this site as long as I
am able. That’s just the way my parents raised me.
That is my promise, I’m sure you understand, and I
thank you sincerely for your generous donation. |
 |
Please, tell your
friends about this webpage, we would be so grateful.
If, you would kindly donate just a dollar, and take
the time to refer just two other donors who will do
the same, the fund for my wife will be realized, and I
can keep my promise to help others in turn. Will you
please help me do that? |
I thank you. Bless
you, may health, wealth and happiness, be yours.
