The highest duty is to think for others. I firmly believe that our society works best when we all support one another. Real happiness is helping others. Mother Teresa, a great humanitarian worker who sacrificed whole of her life for the deprived and the poor people and who was a helping hand for the uncared irrespective of cast and creed or religion. She worked for the alleviation of the suffering and misery of the poorest of the poor. Her dedication to work for the unwanted and the have-nots is an example for all the followers.

Her message is worth following that depicts:

“The biggest disease today is not Leprosy, Cancer, AIDS but rather the feeling of being unwanted, uncared for and deserted by everybody. You must give your hands to serve and your hearts to love those in need”.

I feel great privileged to say little words about myself for your information. I am a born philanthropist and have a great passion to help others, to mitigate the miseries of others even going out of my capacity. I have been providing humanitarian assistance utilizing my own resources. I am running a small business in a third world country - Pakistan where so many socio-economic problems coupled with intermittent political upheavals. Almost 1/3rd of our population lives below poverty line. Millions of people have nothing to eat and millions of people have meal only once a day. Hunger, starvation, ignorance, over population, disease, poverty, illiteracy, homelessness, juvenile delinquency, crimes, drug addiction, prostitution, child labour and many other social evils are eating out our society.

Many people believe that only the rich can be a philanthropist. In reality, anyone who has courage, compassion and kindness can be a philanthropist. We can do no great things, only small things with great love. If we pray, we will believe, if we believe, we will love, if we love, we will serve. It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving. To give is to receive. Giving opens the way for receiving. Give and spend and God will send. When you are able to help -- do so!

The task is gigantic and my resources are meager. My heart weeps when I feel myself helpless helping out the needy people due to very scanty resources. I must do something. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin. This bleak situation compels me turn to you for your assistance helping the helpless. I want to pool my efforts in an organized way to reach out maximum needy people to cater their needs.
I have a passionate group of friends who feel great pleasure in humanitarian work and are ready to serve humanity. We have identified areas of work and have chalked out a plan whose brief introduction is as follow:

1. Philanthropic Fund
This fund will be specific for helping out the needy people. In our social set up, often poor people have no money to buy medicine, to pay school fee, to buy daily usable to pay their loan, and for marriage expenditures of their daughters. People have to take loan to meet these needs which, they often fail to return. The amount out of Philanthropic Fund will be used to cater these types of emergency needs without any formal procedures after evaluating the veracity of the need. This will no doubt provide the needy people relief and help. 

2. Wasif Medical Centre
In our poor country, poor people have limited access to medical facilities. Our public hospitals have great burden of a large number of patients difficult for them to provide proper care. We have a plan to establish a free medical centre in Lahore – one of the biggest cities of Pakistan. In this centre poor and the needy people will be delivered free initial medical care and people will have the opportunity of free medicines. Keeping in view the rising inflation in Pakistan, the estimated cost of this centre will be approximately 40,000 USD.

3. Wasif Care Homes
The unbearable cost of living, poverty and rampant unemployment in urban areas of Pakistan is causing social disintegration. The unit of family is weakened and especially the joint family system is heading towards breakup. This is causing great problems for dependants like older people i-e father and mother, teenage boys and girls, small age children. There is large number of people who fall in this category   who escape from homes for a better place but instead they are left at the mercy of society and have no place to live and nobody is around them to care for. We have a plan to build care homes for such shelter less people where they can be provided shelter, food, clothing, education including imparting skill to earn their livelihood so that they can stand in society respectfully. This project will be initially launched in the city of Lahore and its estimated cost is approximately 50,000 USD. 

There is so much to do and we need your help. It would be a great honour for us if you choose us in this noble task. Remember, even a single dollar will be graciously received, and all funds will go to a worthy cause to help make the world a better place for our children and their descendants. You can be assured that even a single penny of donation will go to helping someone in need.

We have shown courage to come this far and we are depending on you to make our dream come true - a day when we can provide every needy and abandoned child, love, security and a chance in life. Difficult but not impossible come share our dream, and May God bless you for caring.
