Several months ago, my wife and I met with the Urologist and he scheduled a biopsy which came back positive.  I was diagnosed with cancer which was very shocking, to say the least.  My family and I were totally devasted.  Surgery was scheduled for a few months later.  Unfortunately, with no insurance; all of our savings, which originally was the down payment for the purchase of our new mobile home, had to be used to pay for the down payment for the Hospital and the doctor for the surgery.  With God's help, the surgery went well but the doctor told us that I would not be able to lift heavy objects and work as hard as I did previously.  I'm a tile installer and I do losts of heavy lifting and have to use my arms and legs a lot. 

Since the surgery, I haven't been able to work as much.  During the Winter months, work slows down. I'm also asthmatic and I have very bad sinusitis.  There are times when I get very short of breath and cannot breathe through my nostrils for hours at a time, especially during the night.  So, I have to sit up with a pillow at my back and breathe through my mouth.  I just went back to work a few weeks ago and injured the rotator cuff in my right arm and I'm having a lot of difficulty lifting it over my head.  The pain is very excruciating.

My wife is unable to go out to work because a few years ago, she was involved in a car accident and both shoulders were fractured.  Her back was also injured.  She has diabetes and is unable to stand too long.  If she does, her ankles and feet would swell up.  She is care giver for her mother who is 88 yers old, has rheumatoid arthritis, is unable to walk on her own and is unable to take care of herself.  So my wife does everything for her.  My son is 24 years old but has extreme dyslexia and is also a special needs person.  He has problems remembering; so he's unable to go out to work on his own.  I take him to work with me and, with my guidance; he's able to do some things.  But, I have to keep a close eye on him so that he doesn't injure himself.  He is very loving, respectful, and well mannered and does anything I ask of him.  He's a very good son and doesn't give us any trouble.

I'm asking for donations from you today, because since my surgery, I've accumulated a lot of doctor, medical and hospital bills.  My credit cards are all maxed out because I used them to help to buy groceries, pay for gas and utilities and because of this my credit is now poor.  Between my doctor, medical, hospital and credit card bills, I'm in a WHOLE LOT of debt.

A few years ago, my landlord agreed to let me rent, with an option to buy, this manufactured home in which we live so I started renevotating it.  However, he now claims that he never agreed to sell it to me.  As we were friends and co-workers, I never got anything in writing and I didn't think that he would renege on his promise.  With my construction skills, I knew that I would be able to fix it up myself.  The sides and roof are made of tin.  In summer, it gets extremely hot.  During the winter it is freezing.  Whenever we use the air conditioning or the heating, a lot of dust is filtered through the air which aggravates my asthma and sinusitis.  There is a lot of mold and mildew in the walls.  The septic system is always backing up and costs a lot to fix each time this happens.  The smell is very overbearing.  Anything goes wrong; I have to fix it because the landlord refuses to use his money to fix anything. I never miss a month's rent payment; he is collecting and not doing any repairs.  

Things have gotten so bad with the mold, mildew and septic problems; it's constantly making me and my family sick.  So with all the doctor bills, medical bills, hospital expenses, credit card bills, rent and utilities, I can't afford a better place.  I would really like for my family and I to move into a nice home of our own.  All I want is an opportunity to give us a chance at a decent life.  A lot of times it is very difficult to be able to put food on the table and to pay the utility bills.  We are always praying for God's help day and night and for someone to help us.  This is why we so desperately need your help.  May God bless you for your generosity and kindness.  Thank you so much.
