Our story is one of extreme loyalty and love for our very sick mother (14+ years illness) and the welfare of our family. We are Andres and Elena, the older two siblings with two younger ones to take care for since our mother was extremely ill and physically disabled from her later thirties after the birth of our younger sister until her death in 2001 at 67 years old. Our father is mentally ill and in his mind he always was such a great provider... He also became ill from rheumatoid arthritis in his late fifties, although that did not hinder him from continuing to bet in the horsetracks and casinos. Twice he filed for bankrupcy ruinning our mother's credit and wrecking our lives by losing our home. Our mother encouraged us to pursue the best education according to our abilities. Thanks to Uncle Sam and our hard work three of us were able to get college degrees and the younger sister is an accomplished hairstylist and cosmetologist. Our brother has a business of his own and is a superb provider for his family. 

You see, the younger sibblings married as quickly as they could to get out of the very troubled household environment. Andres and I were left to deal with the situation both financially and emotionally. We raised and protected all our family members while studying and working toward our degrees. Elena studied and worked while pursuing a BS., MS., and Ph.D., but she became ill with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and is unable to work. Andres was able to obtain a Bachelor in Arts and while on work-study program at the University he learned to use on his own a graphics generator for T.V. broadcasting. That skill has given him his income to supply for our needs and buy a house in a moderately priced neighborhood. We lived there 19 years due to high debt and neighborhood moral decay. We sold that house and the money was used to pay our debts and get a new home. This house has a higher rent payment, but has acquired some equity. We were counting on this equity to cover for the new debt caused by having to pay $2,000 to the movers since they packed and delivered everything and unfortunately we had limited help from our family in this respect. 

Since we live in the tropics, and the crime rate has gone up considerably, we had to put screens and integrated iron bars and close up the garage to protect the cars and property and to put our two loyal medium sized dogs there after having them inside the house along with our cat for two months! Slowly, but steadily, we have acquired debt beyond our means to pay to the point of being unable to pay everything. Please understand, we had the income for the house, but Andres was laid off from his second job and his income has been reduced to one half in his present job. These situations were unforeseen and unfortunate. We are at the brink of filing for bankruptcy to protect our home. But we are appealing to you!!! Help us get out of debt!!! We are Christians and would never deceive you for gain!!! 

In our efforts to survive Andres established two Internet-based Christian businesses. They are duly registered in Puerto Rico, and with the USA Internal Revenue Service.
